About Lisa

Every life tells a story.

Some of life's most important conversations happen at the moments we never expected. A death. A diagnosis. A new beginning. The end of a relationship. Leaving a church. Retirement. Moving home. Becoming a parent or grandparent.

Or simply waking one day with the quiet sense that life is asking something new of us. These are life's thresholds. Places where we stand between what has been and what is yet to become.

For more than thirty years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people as they navigate these moments. As a pastor, celebrant, professional supervisor, writer and advocate, I have learned that people rarely need someone to tell them what to do.

They need someone who will listen deeply enough to help them hear themselves.

My Approach

I believe every person carries wisdom within their own story. Sometimes it has simply become buried beneath grief, fear, loss, trauma, expectation or change.

Together, we create space to slow down. To notice. To wonder. To ask better questions. Our conversations may include reflective dialogue, creativity, walking, nature, imagery, ritual or silence. Every conversation is different because every person is different.

Whether we meet by the fire, in the garden, beside the river or around the table, my hope is always the same:

That you leave with greater clarity, renewed courage and a deeper understanding of your own story.

What I Believe

I believe every life tells a story. I believe curiosity opens doors that certainty often closes. I believe courage grows when people feel safe enough to tell the truth. I believe grief deserves companionship rather than solutions.

I believe spiritual questions are part of being human, whether or not they are expressed through religion.

I believe our stories can be rewritten without denying where we have come from.

I believe no one should have to navigate life's thresholds alone.

My Story

My work has been shaped as much by lived experience as professional training.

I have known profound love and profound loss. I have buried my first husband. Raised a family.

Experienced the complexity of discovering my biological family later in life through a DNA test.

Survived a high-control religious community.

Walked alongside people facing cancer, grief, trauma, faith transitions and life's unexpected turns.

Those experiences have taught me that wisdom is rarely found in certainty. It is often found in curiosity.
